Highway Improvement

highway improvement

Our team of project managers are specialists in providing our clients with the skills necessary to undertake highway improvement projects. Our broad skill base helps us to accomplish projects ranging from both planned and reactive improvement work, through to large multi-million pound schemes.

Our commitment to partnering and our innovative project team enables us to offer cost effective solutions to clients, including design and build capability. Our programme of performance monitoring and benchmarking ensures that we provide a service delivery that is committed to excellence and to achieving the right results first time.

A case study: An Environmental Improvement Programme with St Helier Hospital Trust.

We have for the past three years operated an Environmental Improvement Programme on behalf of The St. Helier Hospital Trust. Elements of the work involve improving the grounds for access, installing new parking facilities and repairing existing civil structures.

A key facet of the work is ensuring that we effectively work alongside the operations managers on all three sites, Epsom, Sutton and St Helier.

Each site has a different set of factors to consider. However there are some commonalities which require a great deal of diligence and conscientiousness on the part of our team. Factors that are considered routinely on each project are:

Health & Safety - the protection of the public is of paramount importance and a full risk assessment is submitted to the operations manager before any works proceed. We routinely provide personal protective equipment to all our staff.

Security - our staff register upon arrival and departure with the security offices to ensure safe and effective working.

Access - each project is considered in light of its impact on the impaired and disabled. Therefore, we try to keep disruption to a minimum. Access for emergency vehicles is factored into the traffic management plans.
