into the fifth decade...
Stretching over four decades R J Dance (Contractors) Ltd has helped shape the south-east of England. I have been privileged to be a part of this. I hope that this website will serve to give you a taste of the type of company that we are and what we can offer you.
The South-East of England is historically a diverse and busy place. Its roads and civil structures are new and stylish or older, grander yet have stood the test of time. This makes it an interesting place to work. Whether surfacing the Market Place in Kingston, laying cycle routes in Brighton along the Esplanade or revising the layout of Sutton High Street, our company prides itself in the care taken when working near sites of historical interest. This is something we do well and I have no doubt that the team we have in place will continue to improve.
I think three factors have made for good service delivery, good local staff, effective systems/procedures and a respect for the environment. To back this up we have proved ourselves a 'quality' company, obtaining ISO 9001 for quality service including traditional, design and construct, negotiated and partnership contracts; obtaining ISO 14001, for our waste management procedures and use of recycled materials; and lastly, obtaining accreditation with CHAS. It is the company’s aim to maintain these accreditations to ensure a high level of service wherever we work.
Our commitment to providing good service permeates every facet of the way we operate. We are investing in the best plant, good quality materials, and are training our staff both outside and in, so that they have the knowledge to serve for the years ahead.
With our permanent bases in Burgh Heath, Worcester Park, Croydon, Horsham and Brighton, the company is ideally located to offer its expertise in highway maintenance and civil engineering. Our aim therefore, must be to expand the range of services we can offer our clients whilst at the same time offer a good existing service and savings where we can find them.
I have no doubt that R J Dance will continue into a fifth decade, our home grown young talent will see to that.
