We were asked by the client to fully resurface a busy section of carriageway during the day without restricting access and vehicle or pedestrian flow to the busy local shops.
The section of carriageway is a main bus route and has a very high traffic count. We were able to complete a full machine excavation and resurface of over 3000m2 in three days whilst maintaining traffic flow and have the road open for the 5pm commute on each day. We excavated to a depth of 50mm, sprayed a tack coat emulsion and applied a 55/10 HRA 50 pen 65psv surface course before completing the lining.
