We constructed a new flexible bridle path along The Droveway in Brighton stretching 2 miles long. Being a particularly long stretch, we set up safe compounds to store materials along the route.
The flexible rubber surfacing material was laid by hand on a compacted granular sub-base; with both materials being permeable drainage occurs naturally with no requirement for systems. Over 20,000 used vehicle tyres were recycled in creating the rubber surfacing for this scheme.
